Jamshid (Jimmy) Bhiwandiwlla, an Architect by profession, has a Master’s in Architecture as well as in Ancient Indian Culture, he has been a Recipient of the MASA Best Teacher Award for the subject of Humanities in the year 2010. His interest in culture and heritage is not confined to academics but also his professional work. He has participated in numerous Undergrad and master’s studios, guiding thesis students with an emphasis on Heritage Conservation and development in historic cities. His interest in urban studies also led him to participate in the European Union Erasmus Plus research project for ‘Building Resilient Urban Communities’ (BReUCom) Program which focused on various aspects of Historic cities and their water resources between the year 2018-2021.

His expertise on water resilience led him to contribute a chapter “Urban water Resilience” in the book “Resilience and Southern Urbanism: towards a New Paradigm”, a Routledge publication. He was also a partner to a yearlong Fellowship Research program on Urban Water Resilience for the city of Mumbai funded by the Kamla Raheja Institute of Architecture and environmental studies. He has been part of numerous workshops nationally, whereas internationally he participated in the European union funded Asia Link Programme with Ecole de La Villette, Paris as well as was Jury member to the annual workshop conducted at the Universita IUAV di Venezia and was also part of a housing workshop with the University of Naples Federico II, Italy in 2010. Equally old is his independent Architecture practice associated with Heritage Conservation, largely restoring community institutions like Fire Temples, Convalescent Homes, etc. However, his major area of study is the Conservation and Management Plan for the Heritage Pilgrim town of Udvada and Sanjan, Gujarat where he was officially appointed as the consulting Architect for the Gujarat Govt. Presently, he is Member Appointed on the Heritage Conservation Cell of the Udvada Area Development Authority. Further his area of expertise in Adaptive Reuse, whereby he has curated interactive exhibits in Heritage structures such the Zoroastrian Information Centre, Udvada again for the Gujarat Govt. as well as converting the birthplaces of Sir Jamshetji Jejeebhoy, Sir Jamshedji Tata and Dadabhai Naoroji into Memorial Museums in Navsari, Gujarat.

Ar. Rasika Chodankar is an experienced and dedicated professional and academician. She did her graduation in Architecture in 1993, from Academy School of Architecture, Mumbai and Masters in Construction Management in 2017 from IES College, Mumbai. Her contribution is remarkable for over 15 years as independent Professional in the Industry with special focus on Residential Townships, Bungalows and Interiors. Extensively travelled abroad as a consultant for High-tech entertainment projects. She has worked with prominent Ar. Sanjay Puri as in close association, on many High-rise towers and Recreational projects. Over 5 years of Teaching experience, she has been awarded ’’Birla White Yuva Ratna” for four consecutive years as a guide in their National Design competition year from 2010 – 2014.

Jitesh Manani

J2001 – Diploma in Interior Designing & Decoration (from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education).

I have 20+ years of experience in executing Interior Fit -out Works. He has worked as a Project & Purchase Manager with Architectural firms & other companies such as Knight Frank (I) pvt Ltd & Hard Castle Restaurants Pvt Ltd (McDonalds) I have executed various residential as well as commercial projects.

Few of the executed projects include Shoppers Stop at Bandra & Juhu, & Hypercity at In orbit Mall, Vashi- New Mumbai. His expertise in the academic field lies in the teaching of Construction, Working Drawing, Project Management, Cost Estimation & Services

After graduating in the year 2016, she started her journey as a junior architect with Space Enviro Architects, Mumbai wherein she worked for famous jewelry brand. After that she studied for USGBC Green Associate Exam and passed with flying colors. After that she worked with Kaleido Architects in the year 2019, wherein she worked for top commercial brands along with residential projects. During Covid lockdown she started her private practice wherein she worked on multiple residential projects

Mrs. Tejaswini Agnihotri

Mrs. Tejaswini Agnihotri is a passionate and committed Interior Designer and educator, with over 8 years of experience in both the professional industry and academic sector. She holds a degree in Interior Design from Cadence Academy, Nagpur, where she built a strong academic foundation that supports her multifaceted career.

She has worked with several reputed design firms, including Design Space Pvt. Ltd., Godrej Interio (Pune), and Cadence Academy. Her professional portfolio spans a wide range of residential and commercial projects across metropolitan cities, providing her with extensive real-world design exposure.

As a core faculty member of the B.Voc Interior Design, she teaches core subjects such as Interior Design Studio, Construction, elective, etc. Her teaching methodology is rooted in creative problem-solving, hands-on material exploration, and the integration of practical industry knowledge into the classroom.

Ms. Mayuri Pitale

Ms. Mayuri Pitale is a passionate and dedicated Interior Designer & educator with over 6 years of experience in both professional as well as academics. She completed her education with a strong academic foundation of Diploma in Interior Design from L.S. Raheja School of Architecture, Mumbai (M.S.B.T.E.) in 2018.
She was associated with various leading design firms i.e Isprava Vesta Pvt. Ltd., Sheetal Bokria Interior Design Studio. She has varied experience in residential & commercial projects across metropolitan cities. Currently, practicing as a freelance Interior Designer.

Her practical knowledge and design sensibility bring valuable insight into the classroom. She brings together a blend of academic excellence and real-world expertise to nurture the next generation of budding interior designers. She is a core faculty of B.Voc. ID and teaches core subjects including Design Studio, Construction, Materials, etc. Her teaching approach emphasizes creative problem-solving, material exploration, and integrates real-world relevance.

Ms. Prachi Huddar
Teaching Assistant

Ms. Prachi Huddar is a passionate interior designer and educator. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Design from Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Her innovative thesis on a Camper Van SUV was selected for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), showcasing her creative approach to mobile living.
She gained experience working with multiple design studios where she honed her skills in residential, commercial, and experiential design. After which she established herself as an independent designer, handling projects from concept development to execution.
Her deep interest in education led her to academics, where she brings industry knowledge into the classroom. With a focus on design thinking and real-world application, she encourages students to explore creativity through a hands-on, process-driven approach.
