BFA Applied Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts is an Under-Graduate Fine Arts course. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts is a four-year program in a specialization of Fine Arts which deals with the application of design and aesthetics to objects of function and everyday use. An integrated course is offered in the first year, and the remaining three years are allocated for specialization in Applied Arts. In other words, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts is a degree that trains a student in the fields of Illustration, Computer graphic, Display Design, photography which gives full exposure to print media, advertising, and electronic media. One will get the necessary information to launch their career in this industry through a special blending of likely disciplines.Our Vision:
The emphasis here is to develop and enhance both the skills as well as the creativity of the art students to engage with both ‘learning’ art as well as ‘making’ art. This is an approach based on integrating theory and practice in art. Course Information
The course leading to the degree of BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS (APPLIED ART) shall be a full-time course, comprising of 4 Years. There will be an examination at the end of each year. A candidate for the Degree of BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS (APPLIED ART) examination will be required to pass all the 4 years, As per the University ordinance 75% attendance is compulsory for keeping the term.

- Each academic year consist of 1 year ending in April/May.
- A minimum of the 40% of total marks allotted for in theory – tutorials and practical – assignments in each subject of each group, in the term work.
- To pass the examination a candidate must obtain: at least 40% of the full marks in (a) the Internal Assessment (Term Work) and (b) the theory papers, separately, prescribed for each subject in Group I (Theory) and at least 40% of the full marks in (a) the Internal Assessment (Term Work) and (b) the practical’s, separately prescribed for each subject in Group II (Practical) and a minimum of 40% marks on the aggregate of Group II (Practical) .
- First Year Examination to be conducted by the College recognised by the University of Mumbai. Second Year Examination will be conducted by the University of Mumbai. Third Year Examination to be conducted by the College recognised by the University of Mumbai. Final Year Examination will be conducted by the University of Mumbai.
- The University of Mumbai employs yearly Pattern scheme to evaluate performance of student. The class obtained by a student in each academic year is as follows:
