Jamshid (Jimmy) Bhiwandiwlla, an Architect by profession, has a Master’s in Architecture as well as in Ancient Indian Culture, he has been a Recipient of the MASA Best Teacher Award for the subject of Humanities in the year 2010. His interest in culture and heritage is not confined to academics but also his professional work. He has participated in numerous Undergrad and master’s studios, guiding thesis students with an emphasis on Heritage Conservation and development in historic cities. His interest in urban studies also led him to participate in the European Union Erasmus Plus research project for ‘Building Resilient Urban Communities’ (BReUCom) Program which focused on various aspects of Historic cities and their water resources between the year 2018-2021.

His expertise on water resilience led him to contribute a chapter “Urban water Resilience” in the book “Resilience and Southern Urbanism: towards a New Paradigm”, a Routledge publication. He was also a partner to a yearlong Fellowship Research program on Urban Water Resilience for the city of Mumbai funded by the Kamla Raheja Institute of Architecture and environmental studies. He has been part of numerous workshops nationally, whereas internationally he participated in the European union funded Asia Link Programme with Ecole de La Villette, Paris as well as was Jury member to the annual workshop conducted at the Universita IUAV di Venezia and was also part of a housing workshop with the University of Naples Federico II, Italy in 2010. Equally old is his independent Architecture practice associated with Heritage Conservation, largely restoring community institutions like Fire Temples, Convalescent Homes, etc. However, his major area of study is the Conservation and Management Plan for the Heritage Pilgrim town of Udvada and Sanjan, Gujarat where he was officially appointed as the consulting Architect for the Gujarat Govt. Presently, he is Member Appointed on the Heritage Conservation Cell of the Udvada Area Development Authority. Further his area of expertise in Adaptive Reuse, whereby he has curated interactive exhibits in Heritage structures such the Zoroastrian Information Centre, Udvada again for the Gujarat Govt. as well as converting the birthplaces of Sir Jamshetji Jejeebhoy, Sir Jamshedji Tata and Dadabhai Naoroji into Memorial Museums in Navsari, Gujarat.

With over 30 years of experience in art education, retired principal of L. S. Raheja School of art, Bandra and Worli, Radha Ambekar is deeply passionate about nurturing student creativity and innovation. As a dedicated mentor, she has guided generations of aspiring artists to explore their full potential. Her expertise spans academic leadership, curriculum development, and administrative excellence. She brings a strong vision and commitment to quality education as the head of the department. Radha Ambekar continues to inspire both faculty and students through her dynamic and student-centric approach.
Manisha Nayak

She is a Mumbai-based artist, graphic designer, and calligrapher with a master’s in fine art (Applied Art). Trained at one of Mumbai’s premier art institutions, she began her career in top advertising agencies before dedicating herself fully to calligraphy. For over a decade, Manisha has explored the expressive potential of letterforms, specializing in Devanagari, Roman, and Bengali scripts. Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions and three solo shows Australia, Jehangir Art Gallery, and Trident, Mumbai.Currently, she serves as course coordinator of the BFA (Applied Art) Department at Aditya College of Architecture, where she mentors the next generation of designers. Her practice bridges traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, with a deep passion for typography and the written form.

Sanjay Chandaliya
Assistant Professor

A passionate artist, educator, and researcher with over 16 years of experience in fine arts, applied arts, and visual communication. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from Banasthali Vidyapith, with a specialization in portrait painting. He hold a Master of Fine Arts (2011), along with an Art Teacher Diploma and a Government Art Diploma in Portrait Painting. His teaching journey includes a decade as Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design and Visual Communication at Nirmala Niketan Polytechnic, Churchgate, and three years at L.S. Raheja School of Art, Bandra, where he taught the Government Art Diploma program. His work blends academic depth with studio practice, fostering creativity and technical excellence in students.

Meenakshi Agrawal
Assistant Professor

Meenakshi Agrawal holds a Bachelor of Applied Art and has recently completed Master’s in Fine Arts by Research from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Design. She is an Assistant Professor in the BFA Applied Art Department at Aditya College of Architecture. With over 25 years of experience in the media industry, her strengths lie in graphic design, information design, communication design, publication design, layout and designs focused on climate change and sustainability.

Ms. Pooja Kotian
Assistant Professor
She is a dedicated artist and academician with over 8 years of experience in fine arts, specializing in sculpture, painting, and mixed media. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in fine arts from Sir J.J. School of Art and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Design from Banasthali Vidyapith. She plays a vital role in fostering creative thinking, hands-on learning, and conceptual development among students. Her research interests lie in public art, urban design narratives, and community engagement through visual expression. She believes in blending artistic sensitivity with structured learning. Her approach to teaching encourages experimentation, critical observation, and contextual understanding nurturing students to become thoughtful and expressive visual communicators.
