Objectives:  

1. To encourage appreciation of Ar. Laurie Baker style of architecture including space planning, site context, connectivity, construction methodology and materials.
2. A workshop was also carried out such that students could try their hands-on with materials and techniques.
3. Creating a connection with Munnar and Kochi and seeing the places of interest like the old Jewish settlement and Synagogue etc.

 Details:
The study tour this year was conducted to Trivandrum – Munnar – Cochin, based on the preference established by a survey conducted amongst the respective class in-charges. The tour involved understanding planning of historic sites including temples, palaces etc., understanding planning of different
public buildings and experiencing firsthand the scale of the public buildings as per context
and experiencing the same alongwith the development of market streets as per local and
tourist requirements which included photo documentation.
