Climatology | Semester V | 2019-20 | Batch 5 | Workshop

Architecture is essentially about creating shelter from the natural world, and climate is a very large part of the natural world. The Two-day climatology workshop was conducted by Ar.Kuldeep Kumar Sadevi a Ph.D. Scholar from IIT Roorkee, E.C.B.C. Master trainer and I.G.B.C. Professional. The workshop was conducted to teach & evaluate students’ knowledge about climatology and its application in architecture. This was followed by a lively discussion on the importance of climate and its impact on the built environment. Students explored the climatic conditions around them using climatology lab’s equipment like Anemometer, Thermal Imaging Camera, Lux meter & Hygrometer. Also, software like Climate consultant was introduced where students familiarized themselves with data analysis and subsequent application related to climatology in a built environment.
